The former prime minister and his wife were convicted. Why are they accused?

The High Court of Lahore has sentenced the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is already in prison, to 14 years in prison in a corruption case, reports Euromedia24.com with reference to the AP agency.
Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, was sentenced to 7 years in prison in the same case.

They were found guilty of accepting land from real estate tycoon Malik Riaz during Khan's prime ministership in exchange for helping him launder money.

This is Khan's fifth conviction since he resigned in 2022.
