Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the course of implementation of measures planned by the Anti-Corruption Strategy was discussed.
Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan reported on the work carried out in the direction of the strategy's goals: strengthening of corruption prevention and welfare systems, improvement of legal and institutional systems of anti-corruption, improvement of anti-corruption education and public awareness structures, improvement of anti-corruption monitoring and evaluation system.
Providing details on the measures implemented under the anti-corruption strategy, it was reported that routine background check structures for judges, prosecutors and investigators had been put in place.
Reference was made to the indicators of corruption prevention in accordance with international reports.
Thoughts were exchanged on the existing problems in the legal field and the systemic changes implemented to overcome them.
Referring to the report, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of accountability in three main areas of the anti-corruption strategy: prevention of corruption, detection of corruption-related crimes and anti-corruption education and public awareness.
