I am deeply saddened to see the devastating forest fires in my home state of California, where many Armenian-American communities have also been affected by this tragic disaster. US Ambassador to Armenia Christina Quinn wrote about this.
"I pray for the people who have lost their homes and livelihoods, I pray for those who are anxiously waiting for news from their relatives. I thank the RA government and the Armenians who shared their concern with us for the warm words of solidarity," Christina Quinn wrote.
Let us remind you that fires continue in California. Now 6 million people are in danger of evacuation. Tens of thousands of citizens have already been evacuated.
According to the latest information, at least 25 people were killed.
