The former nurse and nanny of Gyumri "Children's House" SNOC abused the children


On January 3, 2025, the public prosecutor confirmed the indictment against former nurse NM and nanny RH of Gyumri "Children's Home" SNOC and handed it over to the competent court with the proceedings materials.

This is reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia. The criminal proceedings investigated in the Shirak Regional Investigation Department revealed that the above-mentioned persons regularly physically abused the children of one of the group rooms of the "Children's House" SNOC, and showed cruel treatment towards them.

In the criminal proceedings, it was found that nurse N.M. and nanny R.H., taking advantage of the fact that the beneficiaries of the SNOC, due to their helpless condition, illness, psychophysiological characteristics, age, physical weakness, and other reasons, cannot to protect their interests, during 2024, during their shifts, they regularly struck and committed other violent acts against the wards.

On December 17, 2024, the public prosecutor initiated a public criminal prosecution against R.M., in accordance with points 3 and 6 of part 2 of Article 196 of the Criminal Code (physical force against a minor who is financially or otherwise dependent on the criminal) causing pain or severe mental suffering) (3 episodes) and in relation to N.M., part 2 of Article 196 With items 3 and 6 (4 episodes).

On January 3, 2025, the approved indictment against RM and NM was delivered to the competent court along with the proceedings.

Nurse N.M. and nanny R.H. of "Children's Home" SNOC have been dismissed.
