The defense ministries of Turkey and Russia are negotiating to resume joint patrolling of the M4 Motorway in northern Syria after four years, Turkish defense ministry sources say, reports TRT Haber television."The armed forces of Turkey are making necessary efforts to ensure peace and tranquility in the region and will continue to do so in the future as well. In this context, from the beginning, we are talking about the need to ensure the safety of the M4 Motorway. The negotiations with the interlocutors on this matter are continuing," the sources said.Earlier, the Syrian newspaper Al Watan reported that Ankara and Moscow allegedly agreed to resume the operation of the M4 Motorway, which, passing through Idlib Governorate of Syria, connects Aleppo with Latakia in the west of the country.
