Azerbaijan will not stop gas supply. The President of Serbia thanked Aliyev


Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that Azerbaijan will continue to supply gas to the Balkan republic, despite earlier information received from Baku about the forced stoppage due to problems at the Shah Deniz field.

"Our brothers and friends in Azerbaijan have just informed me that despite the force majeure situation, the gas supply to Serbia will not be interrupted. Many thanks to Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev, whom I look forward to in Belgrade in the near future," wrote Vucic on X.

To remind, on January 11, the head of Serbia announced that Azerbaijan informed Serbia about the forced stoppage of gas supplies of 1.7 million cubic meters per day due to problems in the "Shah Deniz" field.

Vucic noted that this would force the republic to significantly deplete existing supplies, but he expects supplies to be restored within 2 months.
