Today, on January 12, a major car accident took place in Lori Marz. Around 15:30, the Gazelle passenger car serving the Spitak-Vanadzor route and the Toyota Prado collided on Karen Demirchyan street in Vanadzor city.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, as a result of the accident, 12 people with various degrees of physical injuries were taken to "Vanadzor" medical center.
As a result of the collision, the "Gazelle" left the traffic lane and ended up in the "Vana" flour store, causing a large amount of material damage to the store.
Citizens were the first to help the injured, and according to the citizens gathered at the scene, the Vanadzor emergency doctors acted promptly, with whom the doctors of the "Vanadzor" medical center also arrived at the scene. Ambulance and Vanadzor hospital doctors provided first aid to the injured before taking them to the hospital.
The patrols of the 3rd platoon of the 1st company of the Lori Marz battalion of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by the battalion commander Karen Kureghyan, the senior inspector of the battalion service Arman Sukiasyan and the company and platoon commanders, arrived promptly.
The information about the accident was transferred from the Lori Marz Battalion of the RA Investigative Committee to the Lori Marz Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, from where the investigative team headed by the deputy head of the department and the investigator of the day's duty officer arrived.
Due to the fact of the accident, criminal proceedings have been initiated in the investigative department, where the identity of the drivers and the injured are being ascertained.
