Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, congratulated Joseph Aouni on his election as the President of Lebanon. The press service of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia issued a message about this.
It is noted that His Holiness the Patriarch sent a congratulatory letter to Joseph Aoun, welcoming his election to the position of the President of Lebanon and emphasizing that with this election a new chapter opens in the modern history of Lebanon.
Aram I expressed hope that after the troubles faced by Lebanon in recent years, a new process of restoration and revival should begin with the election of President Aoun.
At the same time, His Holiness the Patriarch assured the President that the Armenian Apostolic Community will be by his side, being a soldier and a participant in all works contributing to the restoration of Lebanon. Aram I also announced that he will visit the presidential palace in the near future to personally convey his congratulations.
