As we have reported, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyanof "Armenpress".responded to the statements made by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, during an interview with Azerbaijani television stations on January 7.
Referring to the observations and demands made by the President of Azerbaijan again about the armament of the Republic of Armenia, the Prime Minister of Armenia noted.
"I have touched on that topic many times. There is no element of illegitimacy in the reform agenda of the Republic of Armenia.
I must repeat that the Republic of Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of all its neighbors, including Azerbaijan, and expects the same, i.e. clear and unconditional recognition of Armenia's territorial integrity from Azerbaijan.
I have also stated that we do not pose the problem of returning more than 200 square kilometers of the occupied territories of Armenia by military means, because the demarcation process gives an opportunity to address this issue in a peaceful, negotiated way the right
As for the concerns related to armaments, we also have concerns about arming by Azerbaijan, we have also heard their concerns.
This is the reason why we made a proposal to Azerbaijan to form a mechanism of mutual control of weapons and we are waiting for their answer.
