German defense concern Rheinmetall has delivered the first new "Lynx" infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) to Ukraine at the end of 2024, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) writes about this. As the journalists noted, the infantry fighting vehicle was produced at the company's plant in Unterluss (Federal State of Inner Saxony).
The military will conduct tests to decide on mass production, said Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall.
The company also expects to assemble these infantry fighting vehicles at its plant in Ukraine.
