Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels record sales growth in global crisis

Swiss luxury Holding Richemont, owned by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, reported a 6% increase in his first financial quarter, reaching 5.4 billion euros. This growth is mainly due to the success of the jewelry department, where sales have increased by 11%. The company noted that this growth took place in the context of the global economic crisis, when the demand for luxury goods decreased. However, the share of Richemont's jewelry continues to show a steady increase, especially in Europe, America and the Middle East.
