The Council of the European Union has extended the restrictive measures against Iran in connection with its alleged support for Russia's military operations against Ukraine. The extension of the sanctions in the EU was also explained by Iran's support to the armed groups operating in the Middle East and the Red Sea region. According to "Armenpress", the press service of the EU Council issued a statement about this. The sanctions are extended until 2025. July 27. As before, the current measures will be reviewed every year. According to the report, the sanctions regime currently applies to 12 individuals and 9 legal entities. The accounts of the persons on the list of sanctions are frozen in the EU, it is prohibited to provide them with financial means, directly or indirectly. In addition, a ban on entering the EU applies to individuals.
