Varazdat Lalayan, member of the Armenian men's weightlifting team, world and European champion, silver medalist of the Olympic Games, was declared the winner of the "Audience Sympathy" nomination of the "Best of the Year" competition in the field of sports. This is reported by the press service of KGSMN. Lalayan received 1778 votes. Weightlifter Gor Sahakyan took second place with 1567 votes, and wrestler Malkhas Amoyan finished the top three with 489 votes.
Voting in the "Sympathy of the audience" category was carried out in a channel opened for this purpose on the Telegram social platform. More than 6100 users participated in the voting within 5 days.
Let's remind that Lalayan was also included in the Best 3 sportsmen nomination, together with Artur Aleksanyan and Artur Davtyan.
