The lawyer of MP Hovik Aghazaryan, dismissed from the CP, appealed the decision of the investigator of the Anti-Corruption Committee, demanding the Prosecutor General to initiate criminal proceedings regarding the violation of the confidentiality of the correspondence of the MP.
Hakob Charoyan told "Azatutyun" that the investigation should reveal how the contents of Hovik Aghazaryan's phone ended up on the table of the Prime Minister, and then on the desk of members of the CP.
According to the lawyer, the contents of MP Aghazaryan's phone were taken out by the court's decision in the Anti-Corruption Committee during a digital search using a special device. At the same time, this device provides an opportunity to recover not only the information on the phone, but also the messages that were deleted in time.
In the anti-corruption committee, the deputy's phone was searched twice, the first time on November 23, in the presence of the deputy and the lawyer, and the second time, on November 29, in their absence.
"On November 29, he calls us again and says: 'We have received a new decryption program, through which we should conduct a digital search in more detail,'" said the lawyer.
After the digital search of Hovik Aghazaryan's phone, already on December 3, "Civil Contract" issued a statement that Aghazaryan was removed from the party due to leaks of state and party confidential information, as well as gross violations of public moral norms.
