DreamWorks Animation has announced that Shrek 5 is officially set for release in 2026. on July 1. "Shrek" stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz have been confirmed to return to the film. Antonio Banderas' return to the role of Puss in Boots has not yet been confirmed. "Shrek 5" will be directed by Walt Dorn, who worked as a screenwriter and artist on "Shrek 2" and "Shrek 3", as well as the main screenwriter on "Shrek Forever", where "talk" is Rumpelstiltskin's voice.
