"People". Against the background of Melikbekyan's resignation, a profanity-filled dispute between FAF representatives and the coach of the futsal team

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:

"The situation around the "First Armenian Front" (FAF) and the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) is not calming down.

.am learned that Ruben Nazaretyan, the coach of the national futsal team, had an argument with FAF representatives a few days ago, during which curses were also uttered.

According to our information, the reason was that the FAF representatives demanded the resignation of Armen Melikbekyan, the president of the Football Federation of Armenia.

The dispute took place in the 2024-2025 season of the Futsal Armenian Higher Group Championship, on November 25, after the match between "Yerevan FC" and "Unisport".

The point is that the current champion "Yerevan" suffered its first defeat in this tournament, which became the reason for the fight.

In a conversation with ArmLur.am, Ruben Nazaretyan denied the information, saying that he does not curse an Armenian person.

"I am a person who has done a lot for this country and I don't curse Armenian people, I only curse Turks. If there was a Turk among them, I might have cursed," he told us.

Ruben Nazaretyan, in addition to being the head coach of FFA, also trains the "Yerevan" futsal team.

Let's remind that Ruben Nazaretyan used to have warm relations with the former president of FFA, Ruben Hayrapetyan, but it is noticeable that recently he seems to have sided with Armen Melikbekyan and unforgettably supports the current president of FFA.
