A new public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the former president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Ruben Hayrapetyan, in 4 episodes for fraud of 152 million drams and money laundering of 16 million drams, News reports.

"Ruben Hayrapetyan being officially informed that UEFA and FIFA have allocated funds to the Football Federation for the purpose of building sports schools for children and youth within the framework of charity programs, he intended to embezzle the allocated funds," said prosecutor Shiraz Grigoryan.

According to the accusation, Hayrapetyan signed a contract with the "Zeytun" sewing factory company, which he actually owns. Later, according to the prosecutor, Armen Minasyan, the first vice-president of the federation, the technical supervisor of the construction works, and the factory's engineers, drew up false execution acts. more work than was actually done.

In addition, according to the accusation, Hayrapetyan embezzled the financial resources of the federation.

"Ruben Hayrapetyan chose a car worth AMD 8,400,000 on the balance sheet of the mineral water factory he actually owns as the subject of formal civil-law transactions, after which in 2017 On December 20, he sold the said car to his son, Narek Ghazaryan, the director of the company owned by Rafik Hayrapetyan, at a price lower than the market price, Narek Ghazaryan said.

"In order to carry out his criminal intention unhindered in 2018 issued order No. 7 on February 16, according to which it is necessary to purchase a "Porsche" car at a cost of AMD 25 million 75 thousand for the players from Argentina.

In total, there are 5 defendants in the case, including the former president and vice president of the federation.

Hayrapetyan is also accused in another case, for expropriating 3 plots of land on Acharyan Street in Yerevan to persons related to him, for legalizing real estates obtained through criminal means.
