It's been almost a week since the acting mayor of Gyumri, Sarik Minasyan, took office. The 2nd meeting with journalists was on December 19. and to welcome and congratulate their coaches.
"Thank you for your selfless dedication, for keeping the honor of the Republic of Armenia high once again. It is a tradition in Gyumri that our athletes always stand by you in any matter achievements," Minasyan said and handed over symbolic gifts to the guests.
Then it was the turn of intra-community municipal issues.
What has Sarik Minasyan managed to do in the past few days, what issues have been settled in the Gyumri municipality and what personnel changes are there?
"We have planned to give the 13th New Year's salary to all the employees of the municipality and the community-related structures, we have already signed the document, they have worked all year, it would not be right for them to be released now. And they would receive half salary, and they would be deprived of their 13th salary. Please, they agreed," said Minasyan.
Earlier, Sarik Minasyan announced that he came to work and whoever is ready to work with him 24 hours day and night will work.
"Whoever we found to have shown himself correctly as a community servant at work, was always by the side of Gyumri people, was not a "this-and-that person", will continue to work. Gyumri is small, we know each other, we can definitely distinguish between these people." Minasyan said.
Were the dismissal applications written in this frame? Minasyan said, the employees wrote them of their own free will and desire.
Sarik Minasyan joined the "Civil Agreement" party. Minasyan considers it a moral step.
Will the neighbors and other citizens who voted for the non-partisan Sarik Minasyan be ready to elect the partisan Minasyan again?
"This time our neighbor's relatives will also vote. Nothing will change me in life, neither position nor party. I will remain the same person, be sure," said the acting mayor of Gyumri.
What problems were solved in the municipality?Minasyan said that there were financial issues related to various supplier companies, which were settled.
"We started to repair the doors of the community hall. They were the last to be broken. We are coming back after repairing the doors," said Minasyan.
Speaking about the information available on the Internet that Minasyan has a strained relationship with the newly appointed Governor of Shirak, Davit Arushanyan, he said that it is a lie and does not correspond to reality.
Sarik Minasyan mentioned that there will be no meeting of the Council of Elders in the near future.
"It is better to work with an already experienced budget, because I have a disagreement with positions and salaries. There are many positions that are meaningless, to say the least. As a result of their reduction, we will be able to increase the salaries of people who perform basic work , because probably a normal specialist will not come and work for 80,000 drams," said Minasyan.
