"On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, I express my gratitude to the Swiss National Council, the author of the resolution, MP Erich Fontobel, and all the political forces of the parliament for their support for the rights of the people of Artsakh. The resolution adopted by the Lower House of the Parliament calling on the executive to hold an international peace forum on the issue of Nagorno Karabakh, is a significant step in the direction of ensuring the rights of the forcibly displaced people of Artsakh, particularly the safe and dignified return.
We appreciate Switzerland's commitment to international law and justice and hope that this process will have its logical continuation.
The Swiss National Council, defending the implementation of the judgment of the International Court of Justice, has shown that it is clearly aware of the urgency of this issue.
We call on the rest of the international community to join Switzerland's efforts to create an international platform to address the issue of protecting the rights of the people of Artsakh. We believe that thanks to coordinated international efforts, we can achieve a just and lasting peace in the region."
