Turkey hopes for an early peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia to establish stable peace in the South Caucasus. As the Azerbaijani mass media reports, the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Yashar Guler, announced this while speaking in the country's parliament.
"On the principle of 'one nation, two states', we have always been close to our brothers for the sake of the stability of Azerbaijan, the security and well-being of which are inseparable from the security of our country," said the minister. He called the Turkish army "a force factor on which friendly and brotherly countries rely and trust".
Referring to the latest events in Syria, the minister emphasized that terrorists will not be allowed to take advantage of the unstable situation in the country.
