The SCO summit in Astana began with the signing of the documents for the admission of Belarus into the organization. This was announced by the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev. According to him, Belarus completed all the procedures for full participation in the SCO in a short time, writes RIA Novosti. The SCO is an international organization that was founded in 2001. Now it includes ten countries: India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus. Observer countries are Afghanistan and Mongolia, partner countries are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Nepal, UAE, Turkey and Sri Lanka.
