There are negotiations between the operators of the Amulsar mine and commercial banks in Armenia, and if these negotiations are successful, the banks will finance the operators.
Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said this during the briefing, referring to the observation that EDB has temporarily suspended participation in the Amulsar mine exploitation project.
"Fortunately, the mines have accumulated quite a lot of capital in recent years, which enables them to finance, for example, 150 million dollars.
This was certainly unimaginable a few years ago, but now it is very conceivable and possible for our banking system, which is a very good thing.
There are also certain issues related to risks," he said.
