The Amazon and Stelantis Joint SmartCockPit project, which aimed to report to the cars equipped with high technologies, is finally closed, Reuters reports.
Stellantis hoped to compete with the experiences of the Amazon software with the leaders like Tesla and BYD, while for Amazon, this was a test platform for further expansion. However, the program did not achieve its goal in developing intellectual opportunities in cars.
Despite the closure of SmartCockPit, companies will continue to cooperate, including the use of Amazon Cloud Services (AWS) and the maintenance of Alexa in some models. Instead of SmartCockPit instead of Stellantis can switch to other software platforms, such as Google's Android Auto system.
