A two-day conference with the participation of the business communities of Armenia and Turkey will be held in Yerevan on September 3-4. It is organized by the Union of Industrialists and Businessmen of Armenia (UIB) within the framework of the EU-funded “Support to the Normalization of Armenia-Turkey Relations: Strengthening Cross-Border Ties” program. The UIB released a statement about the conference.
It was noted that the goal of the conference is to bring together representatives of business and government structures of Armenia and Turkey on one platform to discuss the opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries, identify new directions and formats of interaction, as well as promote the formation of new business ties and partnerships.
Discussions and meetings are planned during the event on the potential of bilateral economic cooperation, the development of business ties and opportunities for cross-border cooperation. In particular, the results of a survey on the possibilities and existing obstacles of Armenia-Turkey transport communications will be presented, a panel discussion will be held on the topic of the next steps in Armenian-Turkish economic cooperation, and contacts between representatives of the IT and tourism sectors are planned during the bilateral (B2) meetings of businessmen of the two countries.
