Taiwan claims 20 Chinese aircraft entered the island's air defense zone

Taiwan claims that 20 aircraft of the People's Liberation Army of China entered the island's air defense zone and crossed the so-called middle line of the Taiwan Strait. This was mentioned in the message of the island's defense department posted on X. "Today, at 06:00 local time (01:00 Moscow time - TASS), 22 aircraft and 6 ships of the Chinese army were found in the Taiwan area. "20 aircraft crossed the middle line of the Taiwan Strait and entered the northern, central, southwestern and southeastern parts of the air defense recognition," the statement said. In response, Taiwan's military launched air patrols, issued radio warnings and brought anti-aircraft missiles to a ready state. Taiwan's anti-aircraft recognition zone was accepted unilaterally by the island. It includes the basin around the island, the Taiwan Strait, as well as parts of the airspace in three mainland Chinese provinces: Fujian, Jiangxi, and Zhejiang. Taiwan has had its own administration since 1949, when the remnants of the Kuomintang forces, led by Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975), fled there. having been defeated in the civil war. Since then, the island has had its own flag and other attributes of the former Republic of China. Official Beijing considers Taiwan one of the provinces of China.
