The Ukraine peace summit is starting in Switzerland

The President of Ukraine left for Switzerland, where the two-day Peace Summit is starting today. On the Telegram page, Volodymyr Zelensky informed that he will meet with representatives of different countries, which have a common goal to support a just and long-term peace in Ukraine. According to him, among other issues, nuclear and food security, the return of prisoners of war, displaced persons, and Ukrainian children will be on the agenda. The Swiss side informed that 92 countries and 8 organizations will participate in the Ukrainian peace summit. It is noted that 57 heads of state and government will be present at the event. In addition to the main topics on the agenda, the issue of when and how Moscow can be included in the peace process will also be discussed. Let us remind you that the Russian delegation was not invited to the Swiss summit. Moscow condemned any step towards a possible settlement of the conflict without the involvement of the Russian side. Yesterday, Vladimir Putin presented conditions for the cessation of hostilities: withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. According to the head of the Kremlin, Kiev should also give up its intention to join NATO, acquire a neutral, non-nuclear status, demilitarize and denationalize, Western anti-Russian sanctions should be lifted, Crimea and Sevastopol should be recognized as part of Russia. Kiev called Putin's proposal an unrealistic ultimatum.
