Such a picture was obtained as a result of a recent sociological survey by "Brevis" company.
By the way, it is noteworthy that the main part of respondents in Syunik, about 72%, assessed the impact of mining on the economic condition of their town and village as positive.
At the same time, 78.15% of respondents positively assessed the impact of mining on the economic condition of the region.
Moreover, only 3% of the respondents have a negative attitude, and 9.4% are more satisfied than dissatisfied.
77% of the respondents in Armenia and 69.8% of the respondents in Syunik believe that it is possible to have mining, clean nature, and a developed economy.
The majority of respondents in Syunik marz, 88.4%, believe that if there is no mining industry in Syunik, the emigration of the population from the marz will increase significantly.
This information was published yesterday during the event organized by the Union of Miners and Metallurgists of Armenia.
By the way, during the event, it was also mentioned that Syunik, according to statistics, is the richest region of Armenia.
According to "The role of mining in the economy of Armenia" carried out by "Modex Advisory" company. "The phenomenon of Syunik marz and ZPMK" analysis, the average rate of poverty on the scale of the republic is 23%, while the highest level of poverty was recorded in Shirak marz, 43.1%, and the poverty rate of Syunik marz is the lowest, only 7%.
