The foreign ministers of the EU countries will discuss the situation in Georgia at the meeting to be held in Brussels on December 16. EU ambassador to Georgia Pavel Gerchinsky told journalists about this.
"The issue of Georgia has been discussed several times recently, the foreign ministers of the 27 EU countries will discuss the issue on December 16. I think I can provide you with more information after this meeting," Gerchinsky said.
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced earlier that the ruling "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia" party has decided not to include the issue of negotiations on joining the European Union until the end of 2028, and to refuse all community budget grants.
According to the head of the government, the reasons for this were the constant blackmail of the EU regarding the start of the accession dialogue, the demands to cancel a number of laws adopted by the parliament and the calls to impose sanctions against the Georgian authorities.
