Iran has announced its readiness for a full-scale war with Israel in case of threats

Iran does not seek a direct confrontation with Israel, but will be ready to respond to all threats from the Jewish state to involve the Islamic Republic in a full-scale war. This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi after the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Forum in Cascais, Portugal.

"We are ready for war, even a large-scale war, but we don't want it," the Portuguese Diário de Notícias quoted him as saying.

The head of Iranian diplomacy emphasized that the responsibility for settling conflicts in the Middle East lies primarily with the United States.

"Any effort to end the atrocities that the Israelis are committing in the region, as well as their massacres in Lebanon and elsewhere, should be welcomed," Araghchi said.
