Lebanon will receive UN aid after the ceasefire with Israel


UN structures and agencies will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Lebanon after the ceasefire with Israel. This was reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Lebanon.

"The UN will continue to support the Lebanese government and partners. On November 27, the first day of the ceasefire, 11 UNHCR trucks delivered essential items to more than 3,000 residents of Baalbek, including blankets, mattresses, winter jackets, sheets, solar-powered lamps ", the document states.

Since September 23, the organization has provided similar assistance to a total of 190,000 Lebanese.

As stated in the statement, 3.8 thousand people became victims of the conflict, another 15.8 thousand were injured, 900 thousand became internally displaced.
