CP realized that it does not have votes in Gyumri, so it decided to take such a step

MediaHubwrites:

The second city of the republic, Gyumri, continues to remain headless. The community was left without power after the ruling "Balasanyan" bloc put down its mandates. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan proposed his solution, according to which, as a result of the legislative changes to be adopted in the near future, he should appoint a temporary acting mayor in Gyumri.

"The meaning is that we will ask the CP members, supporters, supporters to nominate or self-nominate candidates, we will register them according to certain political criteria, it is possible to reject the registration of some of them, after which, among the residents of Gyumri, according to a certain principle, in some sense also by the principle of randomness, we will hold a vote, I will appoint the winning candidate as the acting mayor of Gyumri, who will most likely also be our candidate in the upcoming elections of Gyumri mayor or council of elders. The primary elections will take place on December 8-9-10," Pashinyan said.

What does this mean and is it possible to overcome the political crisis created in the community in this way? MediaHub spoke with Narek Mirzoyan, a member of the "RPA" faction of the Gyumri Council of Elders, about these and other issues.

"This is an internal party process, they have a problem of orientation within the team. In other words, they will nominate three people from their party, and then they will conduct an election among their supporters. After that, they will appoint a MP, who will be the first face of the CP in the upcoming elections," said Mirzoyan.

Narek Mirzoyan responded to the observation that the name of CP deputy Karen Sarukhanyan was being circulated, and even Alen Simonyan confirmed that he is the face of the CP in Gyumri, if Sarukhanyan's candidacy was there, such a problem would not have arisen.

"As for the current situation, the CP has realized that it does not have votes in Gyumri, there is a rating problem, so it decided to take such a step. Now they will try to create mechanisms for collecting certain votes through changes in the community ANCs, staffs and personnel through the JP. After that, the KP will go to the elections with the use of administrative resources," he noted.

Narek Mirzoyan responded to another observation that the KP states that it is forced to take this step because the "Balasanyan" bloc approached the Gyumri people and his vote in an irresponsible way, saying that they had signed a memorandum with that bloc and became the government. part, and then prematurely, avoiding responsibility, they broke that memorandum.
