Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan will not participate in the joint session of the Committee of Foreign Ministers, Defense Ministers and Secretaries of the Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
RA Foreign Ministry press secretary Ani Badalyan announced this in a conversation with "Armenpress". The joint meeting of the commission of foreign ministers, defense ministers and secretaries of the Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held on November 28 in Astana.
CSTO General Secretary Imangali Tasmagambetov and head of the Joint Staff Andrey Serdyukov will take part in the meeting.
An exchange of views on the military-political situation in the regions of collective security is planned. The results of cooperation within CSTO and the prospects of further development of the collective security system will be discussed.
Recently, Armenia has been boycotting events held within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in February 2024 that Armenia practically froze participation in the CSTO.
He noted that the CSTO did not fulfill its obligations towards Armenia, which could not remain without consequences.
