The EU Council has decided to extend EU sanctions related to military-technical cooperation between Iran and Russia and support to armed groups and organizations in the Middle East and Red Sea region.
"This additional measure is aimed at countering the movement of Iranian drones, missiles and related technology and components via ships and ports. "Today's decision prohibits the export, transfer, supply or sale from the EU to Iran of components used in the development and production of missiles and drones," the EU Council said in a communique issued on Monday.
Along with that, the council has taken restrictive measures against one person and four organizations, which, in its assessment, are involved in military-technical cooperation between Iran and the Russian Federation.
