German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has again announced that he intends to continue communication with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Friday, the Kremlin and Berlin reported on the phone conversation between Scholz and Putin. It happened at the initiative of the German side.
"Soon I will talk again with the President of Russia. This has been announced for a long time, and I have previously discussed it in conversations with many people," Scholz told reporters in Rio de Janeiro, where he arrived to participate in the G20 summit, according to the Welt channel.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the telephone conversation between Putin and Sholtz was practical, detailed and very sincere.
