Our export strategy is almost ready, when we finalize it, we will definitely come to the parliament. RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said this during the discussion of the performance of the 2023 state budget in the National Assembly, noting that all the products that have export potential were mentioned in the export strategy. According to the minister, a study was conducted and all those were revealed products that have export potential to different geographical destinations: Middle East, China, EU, USA, Russia. Products are divided into 4 main groups: existing products-existing markets, existing products-new markets, new products-existing markets, new products-new markets. market, there are even small volumes of its industrial production, but experts believe that Armenia has that opportunity," said the minister. "Civil Contract" faction MP Arman Yeghoyan responded that it is good that the issue of exporting products is being discussed, but he also emphasized that that customs barriers will in any case affect the competitiveness of goods, they will become more expensive, plus travel costs. Therefore, Yeghoyan believes that it would be good to have a customs agreement with a preferential regime, which would not be social support, but an agreement with the nature of economic cooperation, signed specifically with Armenia, designed specifically for the needs of Armenia's exports and consumers. Gevorg Papoyan said that such a tool and that Armenia is now negotiating to become part of it.  "There is a possibility to [export] both agricultural and industrial products, not all, but some types of products without customs duties, the EU has such a regime, and we have that discussion with them," the minister said, then clarified that the EU's relevant political if there is a will, Armenia can also become a beneficiary.
