The financing and budgeting model adopted by the Ministry of Finance does not give hope. Cherubian

The path chosen by the RA Ministry of Finance will lead to the failure of the government's plan. In a conversation with Sputnik Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, former Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, said this, referring to 2025. to the draft of the RA state budget.

He reminded that he had warned the members of the National Assembly about this back in 2023, not knowing that his speech was being broadcast live.

"The system of the RA state medium-term expenditure program (MDP, a system introduced in 2003 and established by law as an integral part of the budget process, ed.) has watered down half of our promises.
He said that you should not do so many things from your plans, because the money is not allocated (it is not allocated in the budget, ed.). Even half of what is planned is not done," Kerobyan told the deputies "secretly" during the discussion held in August 2023. Today, it is already clear to the former Minister of Economy that many reforms and major projects defined by the government plan will not be implemented even in 2025.

"The financing and budgeting model adopted by the Ministry of Finance does not give hope that we will achieve some normal results," said Kerobyan. The former Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia is of the opinion that with the 2025 state budget, the government is just trying to save one of its very famous programs - the 300 school program.

"I strongly doubt that it will succeed.

Many other large projects will not take place," said the former Minister of Economy of RA. He refused to answer other questions on this topic, saying that he is already engaged in a private business.

Let us add that in 2025 it is planned to enter 2 trillion 873 billion drams into the state budget. It is planned to spend 3 trillion 482 billion drams, of which 2 trillion 749 billion drams will be allocated for current expenses, and 733 billion drams for capital expenses.
