"Academic city" or corruption pie? Armen Ashotyan's article

"As during the budget discussions in the National Assembly, so before that, the current administration on various occasions, presenting its own sectoral priorities, highlights education along with security. Everyone can clearly see the deplorable state of security, and the opposition figures and the media regularly and thoroughly address the bitter fiascos in that area. However, I cannot say the same about the current deplorable situation in the field of education, whose discussions do not dominate the public discourse. And with this short overview, I will try to fill the gap of information and attention that indicates the systemic crisis of this sector.

Before moving on to the actual sector data, however, let's understand together why Pashinyan's malignant regime focused on the education sector. Perhaps one of the reasons is one of Pashinyan's youthful complexes, the incomplete remaining education. Perhaps, among the current ministers of "street" origin, the image of the current KGMS minister with the past of a cabinet technocrat has its influence. You may come up with other explanations, but the most important explanation, in my opinion, is the following. if the security crisis is affecting our present, by disrupting the education sector, Nicole is targeting our past and future, trying to fight against our history and brainwash the new generation with new anti-national codes.

Therefore, declaring security and education as priorities, Pashinyan is waging a 3D battle against the Armenian people in the dimensions of the past, present and future. Of course, it is not possible to fully touch the wounds that are deepening at all levels of such a multi-layered and complex field as education in one reference. And the quality of the current political power, NA+Government, in which it is difficult to find, as the Russians say, изуродованное интелектом лицо, has nothing to do with the popularization of good education. Yes, even during our government, not everyone could be living examples of knowledge and good education by their own example, but at least half of the faction and at least 80% of the government met this standard.

The degeneration of the content of education, the massacre of personnel, the destruction of the self-management of educational institutions, the shameful textbooks, the paralysis of the university system are being tried to be covered up either by school construction planned during our government and carried out by international donors (World Bank, Asian Development Bank, etc.), or Branded as an "academic city", but in reality, with an adventure with corruption risks reaching billions.

In this regard, I would like to highlight just one fact. ALL members of the board of trustees of the newly created and eponymous fund responsible for the implementation of this project represent only the RA Council. That provision is literally fixed in the charter of that fund (Chapter 6, Article 2).

"The council consists of eight members. Ex-officio member and chairman of the council is the head of the staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The other ex-officio members of the Council are: the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Head of the Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee of the Republic of Armenia."
Did you fix it?

Even the head of Nikol's staff, the infamous Araik Harutyunyan, is the chairman of the council. Did you imagine? Not a single representative from the academic, scientific, teaching or student circles was included in the body responsible for the implementation of the university "mega-project".
This is the clearest and most striking proof that it is not an "academic" city, but an authoritarian pie with a corrupt core. And what is the state of education in Armenia according to international assessments, I will tell you in a separate article. But now I'll give a spoiler: OBVIOUSLY..."
