Yesterday, July 21, an accident took place in Armavir marz. Around 21:00, on the 35 km section of the Yerevan-Armavir highway, near the famous "Arev" event hall in Metsamor, 27-year-old Arsen A., a resident of Armavir marz, hit a pedestrian with his "Mercedes" car.
As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene, the driver did not run away, he alerted the ambulance and the duty group of emergency doctors who arrived promptly provided first aid to the victim on the spot, then transferred him to the "Armavir" medical center, where his condition was assessed as extremely serious and he was transferred to one of Yerevan's specialized hospitals.
Before the investigative team arrived at the scene of the incident, an alarm was received from the hospital to the Armavir Police Department that the victim had died without regaining consciousness.
According to the fact of the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated in the investigation department, where the identity of the deceased is revealed.
The driver underwent a sobriety test on the spot, he was sober.
Several citizens gathered at the scene of the incident said that the victim was taken to the hospital by the commander of the army battalion V. Saghoyan.
