By the end of 2025, more than 900,000 Russians have visited Armenia, which is about 40% of the flow of all tourists visiting the republic. The figures are published by "RIA Novosti", referring to the data of the Ministry of Economy of the country.
According to the Ministry, a total of 2.3 million tourists visited Armenia last year, of which 921,700 were Russians.
288,600 tourists from Georgia, 182,400 citizens of Iran, 60,900 citizens of the USA and 35,900 tourists from France also visited the republic.
Since May 30, Russia has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of certain berries and fresh vegetables from Armenia. Moreover, "Rosselkhoznadzor" (Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control Service of Russia) has restricted the import of stone fruits and grapes since June 2.
