Rocket carrying Ministry of Defense communications satellite launched in Japan

The H-3 rocket carrying the Japanese Ministry of Defense communications satellite was launched from the Tanegashima Satellite Launch Center in Kagoshima Prefecture, the launch is broadcast on the Japanese Aerospace Agency (JAXA) YouTube channel. The rocket will launch the Japanese Ministry of Defense X-band communications satellite Kirameki-3. Japanese media have noted that X-band communications are less affected by weather conditions than other bands, so such satellites are used for critical communications related to the management of task forces and the support of operational information. The launch was originally scheduled for October 20, but was postponed four times due to adverse weather conditions.
