Today, on April 3, a major car accident took place in Syunik region.


Around 09:50, in the 19 km section of the Tatev-Kapan highway, 28-year-old citizen of the Republic of Turkey, Bedri Shakar, left the traffic lane of the road with his "Mercedes" trailer truck and ended up in a ravine.


As reported by a photojournalistGagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver was taken to "Goris" medical center with physical injuries.


One combat unit from the Aghvani base of the fire-rescue squad of the Syunik Marz Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived at the scene.


Rescuers cordoned off the area and brought the driver to the ambulance.
