Ahead of the election, new protective barriers have been installed around the White House, the Capitol and Vice President Harris' Washington residence to prevent potential political unrest in the coming days.
According to The Washington Post, the Secret Service has erected eight-foot-high metal fences around the White House and Treasury complex, as well as around Lafayette Square and Harris' home.
According to the newspaper, the Secret Service also plans to take physical security measures outside the convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida, where former President Trump will hold an election night event.
