Can you provide updated information regarding the cancellation or delay of transit flights to the countries of the Middle East regarding RA citizens there and what is being done?
In response to the question received, the Foreign Ministry stated that RA diplomatic missions and consular institutions in the countries of the Middle East continue to work in a round-the-clock emergency mode, providing the necessary assistance.
Discussions are underway with relevant airlines (including FlyOne, FlyDubai, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways) to consider possible flight options and possible assistance in arranging them. Relevant discussions are also underway with the partners of the countries concerned in order to facilitate the necessary processes. A needs assessment was carried out.
The embassy in the UAE continues to be in operational contact with the group of 92 Armenian students studying in the UAE and the management of the universities, providing the necessary instructions and advice.
There are also Armenian citizens who could not return to Armenia from other countries outside the region due to the cancellation of transit flights. RA diplomatic missions accredited in the relevant countries are in personal contact with these citizens in order to provide possible support until they return to RA.
RA embassies and consular sections in Iran and Israel continue their activities. A large number of applications from RA citizens were not registered here.
Through numerous calls to the hotline provided by the embassies and the Foreign Ministry, immediate answers are given to the questions of RA citizens.
Necessary information is provided regarding the current situation regarding possible flights, possible changes and options.
As of now, there is no information about the number of RA citizens among the victims.
