As a result of the fight against illegal tree felling, the officers of the Stepanavan Department of the Community Police discovered another case. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs police, on February 16, they received operational information that the two "GAZ-53" trucks parked in the yard of the forest chief of the Gulagarak Forest State were loaded with illegal timber.
As a result of the conducted study, 5 cubic meters of firewood were found in the territory of the forest state, regarding which the 46-year-old man did not submit the relevant documents.
A total of about 6 cubic meters of beech and beech wood was found in the bodies of the trucks parked in the yard of his house, and the submitted documents did not correspond to the volume and type of wood in the trucks.
The forest chief was arrested and submitted to the pre-investigation body with the prepared documents.
