Emergency situation on Davit Bek Avenue in Yerevan: man-made potholes blew the tires of more than 25 cars

Yesterday, February 10, an emergency situation was created on Davit Bek Avenue in Yerevan.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the spot, the huge potholes in the section of several kilometers of the mentioned avenue have become a real scourge for more than 25 drivers. Cars of different brands got into pits, as a result of which either the wheels were broken or the tires burst.

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Although several drivers mentioned that due to falling into the pit, either they or their passenger hit the windshield with their head, as a result of which cracks appeared on the windshield.

Several mobile vulcanization specialists and patrolmen of the 3rd platoon of the 2nd battalion of the Yerevan regiment of the Police Patrol Service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by battalion commander Levon Badalyan, deputy battalion commander Karen Avetisyan and deputy platoon commander Tigran Khudanyan, came to the aid of the drivers.

In order to temporarily solve the problem, the patrols had brought more than 30 tires and started placing these tires in the pits, and in order for the drivers to notice that they were in front of the pits, to be careful, they wrapped police light tapes on the tires.

The drivers thanked the mobile vulcanization workers and patrols, saying that they were the first to come to their aid, and who should compensate for the damages was up in the air.

Photojournalist G. During the conversation with Shamshyan, several drivers who did not want to talk on camera said: "We pay property tax, but instead we died falling into potholes, breaking wheels or bursting tires. Then they tell you to pay the property tax on time. Shame is also a good thing. Show a little compassionate approach to the question. who has seen in the 21st century such indifference to a citizen who paid taxes and loans on time?

Mayor of Yerevan, district head of Erebuni, although we address all of them, because there is no such administrative district in the city that does not have an abundance of potholes. So let's throw the rocks off your skirts and throw back some of your awarded money, buy tires, let's create a protective shield in these pits, so that later you don't say: Trump was right and we were wrong."

As the photojournalist reported earlier, today, February 10, an emergency situation was created in Yerevan.

As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the spot, about 8 cars were damaged due to potholes on the Davitashen bridge. mostly either the wheels were broken or the wheels burst.

Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the drivers were helped by the mobile vulcanization specialists who repaired the tires, after which the drivers, after thanking the vulcanization workers and wishing good words to the local authorities, left with the cars whose tires were already repaired.
