Anahit Manasyan visited military units to study a number of issues related to the rights of servicemen


The Human Rights Defender's Office reports that Anahit Manasyan visited military units and combat positions accompanied by the staff as part of a working visit to Syunik Marz. During the visit, the Defender had meetings with the officers, discussed issues related to the rights of servicemen and their families, including issues related to social security, increasing the attractiveness of the service, certification process, housing security. Anahit Manasyan toured the territory of the military units, studied the social and living conditions, in particular, the state of the medical service, the availability of medicine, the storage conditions, the quality of the food served, issues related to discipline and morale and psychological state, etc. The human rights defender also visited one of the modular military units, toured and got acquainted with the modular housing and living conditions. The defender emphasized once again that issues related to the protection of the rights of servicemen and their family members are among the important directions of his work. The problems in the field are regularly summarized in the Defender's staff and, according to the competent departments, proposals for solving the problems are presented. Anahit Manasyan appreciates the effective cooperation formed with the Ministry of Defense, within the framework of which a number of issues related to human rights raised by servicemen are resolved.
