"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"The Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs Committee of the National Assembly plans an event on November 4-5 in the cities of Goris and Kapan in Syunik, on community development, security and peace, as well as other topics of interest to the local population.
It was decided to hold the event at the Grand House hotel on the outskirts of Kapan, but the choice of the place raised questions among the people of Kapan.
Some people are puzzled: why did they organize the event in the suburbs, so that it would be a problem for many of us to participate? Besides, the hotel management has connections with thieves.
"He comes to listen to human rights complaints under the roof of thieves," they say. Yesterday, we conveyed the concerns of the residents of Kapan to Rustam Bakoyan, who said that he was informed hours ago that the hotel is on the outskirts and urged them to change the venue of the event, assuring them that it will be held in the center of Kapan.
However, until late yesterday evening, according to our sources in Kapan, the venue of the meeting had not yet been changed."
