The richest man in the world, Ilon Mask, has announced the creation of a new party with US President Donald Trump to challenge the long-lasting dominance of Republicans and Democrats in American politics.

"You want a new political party in the ratio of 2, and you will get it," Mask wrote on the X social network after conducting a survey among its readers. "The American party has been created today to return you to your freedom," he continued.

At present, the US Federal Electoral Commission has not published any document on the registration of a new party.
