More than 150 organizations from the Russian defense industry fell under American sanctions

The US Treasury Department reported that more than 150 organizations from the Russian military-industrial complex (DIC) were included in the American sanctions list.

“The Ministry of Finance also imposed sanctions against more than 150 Russian companies involved in the production of defense and related materials,” the statement said.

It is noted that the list includes companies involved “in the production of weapons, ammunition, electronics for combat operations, fighter aircraft, photoelectronics, ships and attack drones.”

At the same time, the US Treasury Department also allowed operations on energy-related transactions with Russian banks. The Ministry of Finance clarified that now operations can be carried out with Otkritie and St. Petersburg banks, Sovcombank, Sberbank, VTB, Alfa-Bank, Rosbank, Vnesheconombank, NCC and the Bank of Russia.

Earlier, American lawmakers called for strengthening sanctions against Russia.
