Fitzo did not rule out that a second assassination attempt will be made against him

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico believes that an assassination attempt may be made against him in the coming weeks or months, he said in an interview with the "60 Minutes" program of the "Russia 1" TV channel.

"I fear that such an attack could happen in the coming weeks or months, but we must not be intimidated. I repeat once again: we cannot be allowed to be terrorized. Because in the EU, sometimes it seems to me that we are narcissists", said the Prime Minister of Slovakia.

He added that a very alarming atmosphere has been created in Slovakia.

"The opposition is still stirring up the situation, that we are some kind of mafia, that we are some kind of murderers, that we are some kind of agents of (President of the Russian Federation) Putin, and they are spreading such nonsense. I believe and am convinced that in the near future common sense will prevail and we will look at the military conflict taking place in Ukraine differently today.

You know that I am one of those people who have their own opinion about this conflict," emphasized the Prime Minister of Slovakia. On May 15, 71-year-old writer Yuri Tsintula shot Robert Fico several times in the city of Gandlova, the Prime Minister was hospitalized with gunshot wounds. : The attacker was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Later, the assassination attempt was reclassified as terrorism.
